I'd like to reaffirm to everyone the importance of the PST threads that we now have concerning the problems everyone's been having with them. We need these types of threads to keep everyone well informed of the situation. However, what I see happening from time to time are posts that have been covered before, such as the safety issue. A person from Coronado had already responded about the safety. If there are more questions regarding it, please contact Coronado/Meade, and then when the questions have been answered, it would be great if the answers can be shared here...as Guner did regarding his conversation with Russ. Otherwise, it is of no use, especially with speculations being thrown in.
A rehash of old news does not assist us either. All the PST threads are stickied at the top of this forum, to the best of my knowledge. If anyone has something new to add, please add it. Ranting or rehashing will not be permitted.
Also according to the Terms of Service Quote:
Cloudynights is not an open air forum for vendor complaints. If you seek resolution, we recommend you talk to the vendor. If you seek an audience, we recommend you go elsewhere.
We can get the point across with our experiences by stating the facts rather than airing our complaints. I feel it's necessary for everyone to show photos and inform each other of the problems with the Coronado products and Meade's customer service, quality control, etc. That's why we have so many threads on the subject. People can purchase (or not) the products knowing what the problems are before doing so. We can also learn from the experiences of others in the same situation. So we are in fact, doing a good thing by posting such things on CN.
