Hi! - can you use a Zoom with a x2 barlow ?
Have a ED100 with various E.P.s and a Televue x2 barlow - I have Meade 8x24mm Zoom coming which I want to use with children and general use. Do you loose too much light if you also use a barlow ? esp. the ones with built in barlows like my '6mm Ultra wide 66'. Thanks for any information.

You can use a zoom eyepiece with a barlow. The worst that could happen is some extra vignetting at the longest focal length setting, and some uncomfortable lengthening of the eye relief at that setting, but you're not going to lose light.
Anf of course, I doubt that you'll use the zoom at the longest focal length *and* barlow that often; you'll use the barlow for high powered views, i.e. with the zoom set at small focal lengths.
