When viewing through either of the two binoculars the image has what i could best describe as glare near the centre of the view. At first I tried cleaning the lenses, but after taking both binoculars apart and inspecting all lenses and prisms I realized that the source of the problem should be something else. After doing some investigation I found that some binoculars have light interference problems caused by either prism leaks or by light that is trapped inside the barrels when the optics are poorly coated or uncoated. I believe this to be due to some sort of haze on the prisms, possibly from some moisture having seeped in over the years. It's worse in cold weather. I did check the prisms and could not see any visible moisture. I also tried blowing some hot air inside the barrels, but with no success.
