Rich,
Nice shot but I have to ask. How bad are the vibrations with that setup? I would think with the load on that poor CG-5 and the height of the plate it could get out of hand at times. Still a great angle for the photo

Rock solid indeed, If I push against it with my hand there is no image shift, If I hit it with the heel of my hand, very high frequency vibrations die away in about half a second or less, I'm well pleased with it John

Here is a photo of my previous telescope mount - well.............. technically I didn't own it, but was a faithful friend for 6 years.
40,000 ft observation altitude, no weather concerns (except takeoff/landing), gyro stabilized, and easily portable - what else could you ask for

Is the scale indicator (i.e. brewski) perched on the secondary mirror of that dob? This could be a new feature for the secondary spider.
