First time w/ Binoculars new
      #1290385 - 12/07/06 04:11 PM

I got my 11x56 Garret Optical binos in the mail a few days ago and I finally have time to look through them! What are some easy things to find in the sky with them besides the moon? What can I expect to see with them? Thanks!

In average LP skies I can pretty much find ALL of the messier objects that are overhead with my Garrett11x56s. Early evening targets 'round here right now include Andromeda galaxy (best in dark site -> FANTASTIC in these nocs under good seeing best I've EVER seen it), There are a list of decent open clusters leading from the right edge of Gemini up to Auriga. As evening moves on Orion neb is one of the best there is... just for a few ideas Good luck and clear skies.
