I know that firestar has that exact Zhumell Mak. He does rave about it, and going by his opinion, it seems to be a good performer. I am sure firestar will be around to give you his opinion on how well this Mak performs, and also to answer the dovetail question. From his opinion and other reviews, i have read, it seems to be a descent performing scope for the price. -------------------- Todd C. It's a slow scope at f 14,but for a cheap grab and go it works well. I'm thinking of acquiring some solar film to view some solar images. My site suffers from a lot of light pollution so I imagine viewing from a darker spot would produce better views.
