Congratulations Ryan! You did a fine job of reviewing the scope. I hope that this is the beginning of a great hobby and possible career for you. You certainly have the aptitude for both astronomy and writing. Keep it up!

12 years old, and you wrote that!!!! Well done.
You have a very bright future ahead of you, and you are very lucky to get such a fine scope at such a young age.

What an excellent review. Even most 18 year-olds in the UK would be hard pushed to write with such clarity and attention to detail. I own an LX90 (not GPS) and agree with the content of your review as well.
I wonder why your lens cap (presume you mean the corrector plate?) keeps falling off? Mine is quite a tight fit.
Congratulations on an excellent piece of writing.

Good job!

Wonderfull review. Keep working at it, I look forward to your next purchase and subsequent review. RE Lensecap, no not the corrector plate, but the plastic cap that goes over it. Mine falls off to and I haven,t found a satisfactory solution. My Celestron orange tubes have the same problem

Very nice review. Your review was quite impressive for anyone, let alone a 12 year old. The LX90 is a very nice scope for a young man of your age to have access to. You made a wise choice. Keep up the good work!

Great review! I would never have guessed it was written by a 12 year old if you hadn't said so. You did a very good job of organizing your facts and stated them very clearly. Sounds like you are really enjoying your scope and I hope you have plenty of clear skies so you can continue to do so!

I have some flocking strips stuck inside the corrector cover on my LX200 and that keeps the cap firmly in place.
If you don't have any flocking material PM me and I will mail you some to try.
Great review; you'll get years of fun out of that scope Ryan.

Morris & Ryan- try some of the 'fuzzy' side of Velcro tape to hold on the cover. Works well if you need some thickness as a shim.

Sorry, I meant the cap for the corrector plate. Anyway, mine is still quite a tight fit. However, it looks like a loose fitting cover is quite common. Perhaps it's all down to manufacturing tolerances?

This is the first product review I have ever done (I am 12 years old), and I don’t have much experience with telescopes, so it may not sound as put together as other reviews you read, but I hope it is still helpful.
Well, humility is a virtue, but in this case most certainly not necessary! Great review; I found it most illuminating and very well put together

Great Review! You touched on all the important parts and gave a good impression of what the telescope was like to use. I am jealous I wish I had such a wonderful telescope when I was 12...and now I wish I had 12 year old eyes to look through the fine instruments I have at 40. Congratulations, you have the best of both worlds. Looking forward to your observation reports in the other forums.

I wasn't a member of CN when your review first appeared (that, or I missed it), but I took the time to read it now. I also have an 8" LX90GPS, and found your review to be accurate.
As far as the corrector plate cover falling off, you can get little squares of velcro at Ace Hardware. Use the FUZZY thing (not the scratchy thing) as needed to get a good fit.

Ryan---- nice review---- thank you!
On my Lx90 LNT plastic lens cap I put some small pieces of stick on felt inside the lip of the cap. This makes it tight enough so that it does not fall off as you reported.
The gotos on my LX90 are as good as you have reported! It's amazing to me to be able to view 20-30 sky objects in a single session just by pushing a few buttons! Clear Skies. Joe Lalumia
