Here's my 12" LX200GPS on a home-made floor wedge. I run a f/11 80mm refractor as a guide scope. The switches on the wedge are for scope power, the corrector plate heater, red LED base lighting and laptop power.

Crims-
You are too kind - my pictures are ratty compared to the others posted here - I need to find a way to make them better. Also forgot to shoot the camera body at prime focus, so what was shown was the visual setup only. I use the WO66 for guiding. The ED80 is on a separate mount but can also be piggy-backed, however that makes the whole rig awfully heavy.
Your setup is very nice looking, too!
Cheers,
DW

finally I got enough counterweight (and the right size bar) to set up my 120 piggyback. The Naglers help out with the balance too Haven't had this set up outside yet though so of course the 120 is not aligned yet
I just set this up to try it out and see what it would look like. Hope you like

G'Day Marc
Unfortunately not. It was not built by me, but by the owner and curator of Magellan Observatory here just south of Sydney. He has a website and may even be active here as "astroboy" as he is on the IceInSpace astro forums in Australia. His real name is Zane. A top bloke!
Magellan Observatory: http://home.goulburn.net.au/~magellan/
If you go to the "Tour" from the menu, choose "Observatory 2" and you'll see it.
Cheers Chris
PS - It would not be hard to build a set of plans for it - only thing is the angle of the baseplate would of course be different for you. I suppose you could make it adjustable

Thanks. I need to get a wedge but I heard the standard ones are a little shaky. Trying to avoid paying $400+ for a wedge.

I know I'm kinda slow responding to your post, but I was only recently given a lovely 10" LX200. I've been driving myself nuts trying to design a mount I could keep in my diningroom (without losing too much space) and roll on a ramp out my patio doors. Your Ikea "kitchen cart" looks like an absolutely GREAT starting point! What a great idea - I doubt even the wife will complain . And with the ability to roll it to the patio door, I don't have to heft it far. Even my back shouldn't complain. That's what I call executive thinking, great stuff! BTW, do you have hardwood floors, or carpeted? I got carried away there, this thread is about pictures. Well, this is mine in its simplest form. When I get it delivered here, and set up properly, I'll post another pic.
