I been thur Heathrow man that is one massive place, I would think you have to go a good 10 miles to get away from the afterglow of that area.

They are building Terminal 5 so better make that 40 miles

What kind of eyepiece do you have on that finder?

Anyway, great setup.

On the Stellarvue is a wireless 9mm reticle and of course on the RCX is a 24mm Ultra Wide Angle that comes with the scope. The view finder has a standard straight through view that can be focused by rotating the head of the eyepiece. It came standard as well like that. My older LX200 had one too if my memory serves me correctly.

Thanks for the compliments and oh yea, GO DAWGS!!!

My finance stopped my itch... Haha, by the way, how much did you buy it? What are you going to do with it?

If I remember correctly I paid around $4,500 + tax for the RCX, and around $1,750 + hardware to install on top for the Stellarvue. I plan to use the RCX for a guide scope and image through the stellarvue for now. At least until I get the hang of it and then I'll try my hand at the longer focal length. I will also do alot of viewing through both scopes. Hope that answers you question.

Did you buy the RCX new in Atlanta for $4,500?

Yes, I did buy in Atlanta. When the RCX first came out I think the price was around $4,995.00 or something close to that. I had one ordered and waiting at the store for a couple of months until I sold my old scope. During that time the price went up $500.oo if I'm not mistaken, but since I had ordered under the old price and was an avid customer it came down to approx. $4,500. I could be way off on my pricing since I was wheeling and dealing for extras, but I think that was what it was. I'll have to see if I have my reciept to verify it. Have a great day.

Did you say you pay $1750 for the rings and dovetail bar for your stellarvue?
