, unlike Erik I would rather paying up to $2000 and more for relatively small , relatively low magnification binoculars such as 15 x 60s of the highest quality ,
A pair of the Zeiss 15X60s (although thoroughly beat up) went for $1000 on Astromart. I think the listing lasted only a few hours before they were sold. I check frequently, but apparently not frequently enough. Maybe a better pair will come along.

The Tak 22x60 provided me with possibly the best views that I've ever seen through binoculars - just absolute razor-sharp views. The Moon was stunning. The FOV was never an issue with me. And they just killed my old Canon 15x50 IS. I sold them because they were straight through viewing and I had a hard time using them at altitudes higher than 75 degrees (even tripod mounted) for more than a few minutes.
The Kowa 32x82 do not seem quite as sharp, but that is probably due to the higher magnification (I normally use the 50x EP's). But the Kowa's have dual magnifications (32x, 50x), are 45 degree angled, and have greater light grasp (82mm versus 60mm) - but at a huge price multiple!!!
I do not regret selling the Tak's - my other stuff gets me where I want to be.
Best regards to all, Silvio.

The shortened TV-85 did not have a built-in binoviewer. It was just a shortened TV-85 OTA like any other short tube like the TMB 130mm CNC,Stellarvue Nighthawk Next Generation etc.
Oops, thanks for correcting me. That's what I get for speed reading late at night.

Hi Silvio,
Since you are often using 50x, why not go with a 5" or 6" Tak APO refractor (FS or TOA) and your binoviewer rather than the Kowa Highlander?
Thanks, Rich

Hi Rich, In a word - old age!!!
I just disposed of my FS 152 which I used with a Denk II. The set up and take down efforts were just too cumbersome for my old body. Many a night I would not observe because of the trouble involved.
I have now acquired two Binocs (Swarovski & Prostar), and a TMB 80/480 APO triplet which I am convinced will be used much more than the FS152.
As for the Kowa's - the setup/take down time on my Bogen/Manfrotto 503 head is a minute or two. Moreover, I have a penchant for exquisite equipment, and the Kowa's rank right up there with the best of them.
These are my personal preferences - YMMV.
Regards, Silvio.

Thanks, Silvio. You're right. There is a big difference in setup time.
