The Vendor Forum is for the use of Vendors to post announcements of up coming products, special sales and promotions, and any other information the vendor may feel is of use to the members of CN concerning their products or business. It is also for the use of members to post questions concerning said posts.
The Vendor forum is not, for the use of members to post complaints or request for guidance for settling issues with vendors.
If you have any questions concerning CN policy in such matters, kindly PM a forum moderator or an administrator for clarification of this policy.
Thanks.

So, should I understand this as that CN doesn't give the users of the forums to discuss proper vendor behaviour? That might clarify why the two posts I made into the shop & swap forum just dissapeared. Wouldn't it be frank to tell the users that you don't want such discussions and why in that case!

They weren't swap and shop posts. The heading for that forum specifies its purpose:
Classified ad section for registered members and vendor supporters to sell and swap their equipment.

So, they just got deleted then...
Could you propose a forum where we can express our bad experiences with vendors? That might interesst the users & buyers!

Complaints about vendors always tread a fine line. Most of the posts (IMHO) that receive Mod attention are those that use intemperate language, or biased opinions unsupported by facts. Those that relate the chronology of a less-than-satisfactory transaction in factual, unemotional terms, usually stay posted, as long as the poster has exhausted recourse with the vendor.
However, I've only encountered one vendor who absolutely refused to act like a grownup, and PMs to Mods caused that vendor to be banned from Cloudy Nights.
If in doubt, PM your proposed post to a Mod or Admin for review and suggestions on making it acceptable. CN TOS forbids "vendor bashing", but it doesn't forbid reasoned critique of vendor performance.

Has CN ever thought about creating some sort of mediation area where vendor and consumer might address disputes with feedback from CNers or Moderators? The motivation on both parties to resolve the issue quickly would likely result, benefiting both parties.

CN has not to my knowledge ever thought of creating such a process, and most like will not for a variety of reasons. There are prescribed methods for returning equipment, settling damage claims, and having repairs made under guarantee. Most of this information is available on vendor and manufacturer websites. The process may not be quick, but if you follow the guidelines it works 99% of the time. Occasionally it fails, this is where other forms of legal remedy are available.
Once in a while someone will post a horror story about an issue with a vendor/manufacturer, but you have to remember, we are only hearing one side of the story.
This issue would also be better addressed in the feedback area, rather then here in Vendors.

Please Read - Clarification of Policy for Selling Used Items
After discussion with the Administrators, it was determined that posting individual used items for sale is a violation of the Terms Of Service.
You are allowed to state that you have used items for sale and list a link to your website, but you can’t list individual items separately. I have spoken to the administrators and that will be the rule enforced going forward.
For clarification: You can post in Vendor announcements something like "Please visit our website to see our selection of used and consignment gear." With a link to the website, however, you cannot post a listing of that gear.
Thanks for understanding.
