1st Image-Saturn on 4/22
      #1560570 - 04/22/07 09:35 PM Attachment (37 downloads)

This is my first attempt at imaging. No Photoshop or any other enhancements, comments on that score would be greatly appreciated. Equipment was a Meade 8" LX200 GPS SMT with a 2x barlow and LPI imager.

Looks great, detail on the planet and cassini very clear. Well done. If this is your first attempt, can't wait to see your images when you get more practice! Welcome to Cloudy Nights by the way.

Phil

Fantastic image, esepcially for a first attempt with no stacking or processing of any kind. You must have really steady seeing conditions.

Thanks Doug and s58y for the comments! I am also a rank beginner at posting...I forgot to mention that this shot was the best out of about 4 rounds of imaging with about 200 images stacked with the LPI. Focusing was my biggest issue. Even though I had clear skys, seeing conditions were not the greatest. I also tried to get some images of the moon, but was plauged with alot of shimmer and couldn't keep my tracking on target.
