Hi All,
Well after many..many attempts I finally got somewhat of a decent Saturn. The focus still seems a little soft I think my scope need to be collimated. Well anyway here it is:

By the way this is still with my ToUCam. I just got the new HD for my laptop & will be putting it in soon. Then I'll try the Infinity 2-1.

Looks pretty good to me -- there's good detail in the rings, and very good detail in the striping on the main surface.

Thanks everyone. I thought the focus was a little off because when I tried to enlarge the image I got this:

Or is this image a little hazy because of the enlarging process? Is it better to enlarge the image by 1.5 or 2 in Regstax? During processing? I have been using the resize image on the "final" page.

That's probably due to the resizing process. Inherently, you're trying to invent detail when you enlarge an image

The best way to fix it is when you image, increase the image scale via barlow lenses.

It also depends on what method you choose. I always use Mitchell

I’m assuming you do it through registax, Mitchell is the best compromise between sharpness and artefacts

Thanks Andrew. I used a 2x powermate with a 6.3 FR to capture this image.
Thanks Zyxlor.
Chris: Thanks for the tip. I think I used b-spline. I think that is what it was called. DO you use drizzle or resampling & do you increase the image size during processing?

I like the original Thomas. It seems unless the seeing is superb enlarging past a certain point just makes it look worse.

Guner… you said… “I used a 2x powermate with a 6.3 FR to capture this image”

Maybe using a powermate to increase the focal ratio and then a focal reducer to bring it back down again is at crossed purposes to one other.

For planetary imaging, I use a Barlow like you, but I remove any focal reducer.

And for big stuff, just the focal reducer and no Barlow.
