M27 is excellent but M57 is a little to dark for my taste.

Sal,
Nice sketches. Are these from a dark sky site?

Thanks Guys. Nope those are from my home Frank ...The night before i was viewing at a Mag 7+ site and the difference was amazing.M13 was so bright it looked 3d and M27 had a definate blue-green pastel like color. Unfortunatly i didnt have time to sketch I was to busy observing and doing a little outreach also.

Sal,
Great observations of the famous Dumbbell Nebula (M27) and Ring Nebula (M57). You have rendered the Dumbbell Nebula perfectly with it's projections (lobes). This is my impression of this planetary through a large aperture such as you own. The Ring Nebula looks very nicely rendered as well. I look forward to your future observation through the Lightbridge.

As soon as the observations of M 27 and M 57 start rolling in, you realize summer's here again. They must be an amazing sight through your 16" Dob, at least one gets the impression from the way you rendered them!
