Cosmos: a field guide
      #1680130 - 06/24/07 10:10 AM

Hi all.....

just thought I'd post my findings here: I am here in Atlanta for an internship and while at the local mall, in WaldenBook store, I found a very, very large ( 17.3 x 14.2 x 1.3 inches ) book titles Cosmos: A field guide (by Gilles Sparrow) for a clearance price of $19.99!!!!

This books is absolutely fantastic! The best pictures I have seen in any astro related book..... I would not have bought it since I have NO space for new things in the car but I could NOT let this go....

give it a look if you can!

Emanuele

Wow! What a book! I just got it as a birthday present, and it's simply impressing. Photos are awesome, and the scientific explanations are also pretty good. I've seen it's on sale at amazon. Be warned it's physically huge and very heavy. I use gloves to read it in order not to leave my fingerprints on the glossy black paper.

I received this book as a Christmas gift from my daughter. When I saw the 50 pound price tag inside the label, I was concerned that she'd spent too much but was relieved when I spotted it at the Borders where she occasionally shops for only $20.

She's a student and has only limited funds so now I feel much better.

Spectacular book, BTW.
