Sorry for the last minute notice (I've been catching up from 2 weeks in Greece). The Old Town Sidewalk Astronomers will be out in Old Town Pasadena, CA and Old Town Monrovia, CA on June 22 and 23, respectively. More details can be found at the Old Town Sidewalk Astronomers website.
If you know someone who lives in the area who has never looked through a telescope, please tell them to stop by.

Ah, so that's where you've been.
Gary and I were out at Joshua Tree last weekend. Ran into a couple from Pasadena, so I handed them an Old Town Astronomers' flyer.

News of my death have been greatly exaggerated, as this picture of me at the Temple of Poseidon illustrates.

Well, the air was a bit on the turbulent side. However, it did not stop the "ooo's and ahh's" from those looking at Saturn, Venus, Jupiter and the moon. All-in-all a good night, with many looks of wonder on the faces of the public.
My own excitement came when I looked at Jupiter through MoJo's AstroPhysics 4". Wow! Where's the waiting list?
