Updated Forecast site, 7-day transparency by zip new
      #1666534 - 06/16/07 07:23 PM

I've added a new feature to www.astroforecast.org that allows the user to get their 7-day transparency forecast by typing their zipcode. The zipcode must be a valid US zip code. Go to the home page and look down around the middle of the page and enter your US zip code.

Also added the 7-day forecasts for locations in Belgium, France, and Netherlands by user request. I'm accepting requests for other locations worldwide.

The "seeing" forecast should be added within two weeks. It will be either a 5-day or 7-day forecast depending on resources available to run the model.

All forecasts are based on NOAA NCEP GFS data that has been converted to a format useful to astronomers.

Jeff,

Many thanks. I was hoping Clear Sky Clock would go beyond 48 hours; this is definitely a help in making longer-range plans.

Clear Skies,
Phil
