At the Howard Astro League star party last night, I was showing off the moon to kids through a video camera. I wanted to pan around the moon to show the kids different parts of the surface. Since I was using EQMOD with no joystick I had to use the directional pads on the laptop. It was very cumbersome. So my wife made this suggestion:

Very interesting. I own a Wii too, so I have one question: on the page you mention on the video, there are a couple of programs available. What exactly did you use?
Thanks!

I used GlovePIE to write a script to setup the buttons on the Wii to map to the joystick controls in EQMOD. I then used PPJoy to make virtual joystick windows drivers that interfaces with GlovePIE. BlueSoleil is needed to get windows to correctly interface the Wii remote, the stock windows drivers didn't work for me.
If you try it and run into issues, I'll be happy answer any questions.

Thanks everybody :-0
Gazerguy: The Wii remote is connected to the laptop via bluetooth. If you want to try it, USB->Bluetooth dongles are very cheap on eBay.
