Hello Everyone,

Here's another image i have done only more recent. It is the MARS polar region During the summer season.

All of my image's are of my own work and as such copyrighted to me. Sometime's i may use Photo's off Public Domain Website's that are copyright free or of course my own photo's.:)

The Mars image was done using Oil's and Chalk's then scanned into my computer were i added SFX to it in photoshop 7.

Hope you enjoy my image's and i hope to see some of the member's image's on here soon.

Kind Regards

James aka Orionthehunter

I've often wondered about what great views of the sky there would be for people living on the moon of a gas gaint. I mean not only would there be serveral other moons to veiw but the plant itself would be such an amazingly imposing view. I suppose all the light would really cause problems for deep sky veiwing but at least the average citizen of the world would live daily with the mental impact of such views.

On the other side of this fanciful wish, I do not take our own moon for granted, and am very greatful that we have such a large heavenly body in our skys.

I have photoshop 6 and enjoy making all types of designs so I have an appreciation for this forum. I like the "Storms" picture. How did you make the lightning like structure? Is this something new to version 7 or do you have a special technique? I think it would be nice to include a breif description of how the image was made so that it can be properly admired. :rainbow:

Very imaginative! I wonder what the skies would look like from a planet inside a globular cluster! Although I am sure there would be too much radiation from all the stars for anybody to survive on such a place. But hey, life evolves and adapts.

Hello, everyone

How did you make the lightning like structure?
I did this by drawing out the lightning with pencil on my orignal picture then scanned the image, loaded up photoshop and applied the render filter over the lighning to give it a glowing effect also played with other filters like differance clouds etc!:). It take's time with trial and error but well woorth the effort me thinks. There are filters for photoshop that you can buy that will place lighning effect's on an image and will take you about 1 min to do it but i have found them to be a little to artifical so i do it the hard way.

The Water effect's were again penciled in and later altered in photoshop using the differant lighting option's and blend tool's plus bluring tool's. There's more i did to the image but i cant remember off the top of my head. I will do a simple piece of artwork this week and run through how i did it if you wish? that way anyone can have a go at it and learn the basic's.(let me know please).

I see from the other post's on here there's a keen interest in ASTRO ART as i call it, also mentioning alien life on other world's. Well i did a image of an alien again a while ago for a experiment so here it is in all's it glory hehehehe not great but still worth a look(i think),i remember using water colours at some point but after that i dont know. I will keep a record from now on as to how i got the image etc!

Hope you enjoy the image and thanks for all the kind words about my image's.Expect a lot more this week as i find my disc's with image's on them.

Kind Regards

James(Sleepy) :D

Ps: The image is called ALIEN COMB, i also did a DNA image for this alien so i will find that aswell.

Goodnight Peep's

If you would be so kind as to do a sample with some of your techniques, it would be greatly appreciated. I don't have a scanner so I forget about mixing my real world art with my digital. I have to try to "handdraw' stuff with the mouse:P It does make one resourceful though.

I like the irregular star patterns on the 10001 Earth. What do you prodict is going to happen to cause the earth to look this way? Just a note: I understand what you are going for effectwise but I think the mountains are a little too "out of focus" maybe just the close one should be like that and the farther back ones a little less so... I'm just a amauter artist so I don't really know for sure.

P.S. That alien is freaking me out! (in a good way)

Ever thought about a light pen or Tablet would be hell of a lot easier matey:) you can pick em up quite cheap well at least here in the uk.

He he i had a few too many drink's me think's before doing this one lol. Nah really i had a wild thought about earth being knocked off it's axis from the pull of a Black hole and sent into a other part of space! I know it wouldnt happen like this but thought it would make a nice image.

Also to answer the subject of the mountains being out of focus your totally right! I did this sort of on purpose because i wanted to give it the effect of being at night, Maybe i didnt pull this off as well as i thought i had.:)

Thanks for the interest and the constructive words about the image most welcome.:)

Yours

James t kirk

Well in about 3 billion years time the Andromeda Spiral will collide with our own Milky Way. Just before the collision the sky will be filled by Andromeda, so if life is still around they'll have a nice view! :D
