They are all so good it's hard to choose, no single picture jumps out as a winner.

Hi Folks - Each month a number of you comment that you would like to see a separate contest for sketching. It is my pleasure to inform you that we do in fact have "semi-finals" contests in each of the forums represented above in order to come up with a "best of the best" finals, which is the contest you are voting on now.

You are cordially invited to take part in the "semi-finals" voting. These polls are placed as close to the 1st of the month as we can and run until the 8th of the month, each and every month, in all of the forums represented above. Stop on by and vote to determine whose work makes it here!

Charlie

Give a Cloudy Nights t-shirt to all. This is really hard. I do agree that sketching and imaging should be 2 separate categories...

I voted for ccd, that pic came out great over a very long time exposure. But, actually they are all winners and it should be a 5 way tie.

Congrats to all finalists. Wonderful images!

I'd like to reaffirm what Charlie has posted. We do in fact have a separate contest for each category of imaging/sketching. The winners of those contest progress to the overall contest that you see here in this thread.

So for each of you that would like to see a different contest for sketching, here's the thread for July's contest. Come visit us sketchers next month between the 1st and 8th for the next sketching contest!

I know I'm a little late here, but that Jupiter is just about the most impressive I have seen from ANY ground-based telescope, let alone a backyard newtonian! Great job, Bird!
