I bought a couple of astronomy books a few nights ago...

"Cambridge Guide To Stars & Planets" by Patrick Moore and Wil Tirion...

Has several nice charts of the sun, moon, planets, galazies, constellations, and stars. Cost $17.00

"Cambridge Guide To Stargazing With Your Telescope" by Robin Scagell...

Several nice articles about different types of telescopes and how to use them. Price $15.00

I got both of these books at Barnes & Noble and hope to read them during Thanksgiving Break.

Wil Tirion has a number of good books out there. Practical observing guides, for the most part.

Norvin;

I have about worn out the Libraries copy of the "Cambridge Guide To Stargazing With Your Telescope" by Robin Scagell. I highly recomend it to all of us beginners. A very good introduction to the art and science of astronomy. I like the way it handles subjects like collimation, setting circles, eyepieces, etc. It is high on my list for a Christmas present. A good referance book.

I think you'll enjoy it.

Keith
