There has been some talk they will abandon their NOS entirely and go to some kind of directory services running under Linux. SuSE has been loosing some money lately so Novell can't be looking at a cash cow. And it throws some interesting curves into the SCO debacle - although that appears to have cooled off a bit. Interesting times. With market consolidation an Apple and Novell merger can't be that far fetched of an idea.
