Per this post about locking and restarting the long threads, here's a new thread for the Ohio Never-Ending Star Party.
Having the Last Chance Star Party this weekend at Scott and Diane's is the perfect way to kick-off the thread -- I'm sure there will be plenty of posts and pics in the next few days!
The original Ohio Never-Ending thread can be found here, locked but still available to read and copy pics if you wish.
Chat on, folks!

I've got a job to do this morning, and then Paul and I will be gathering things together to head out this early afternoon.
I've made a few pies and am bringing some eggs as well as a chicken and stuff to make chicken and vermicelli (one of my favorite Mexican meals).

Erika, Is that a dutch oven dish? Sounds good and I can't wait to try your apple pie or the apple butter.

I'm packing light. I'm not up to loading a bunch of stuff so if you have room, I'll make it in the kitchen. I promise not to have any disasters in your kitchen.
Besides that, it takes a knack to fix it correctly and I've never made it in a dutch oven before.

I don't worry about you in my kitchen. It's an electric stove. Ron is going to make cinnamon beef stew for tomorrow night in the kitchen. Are you planning on making that for tonight or tomorrow? No problem. Just trying to figure out what to do for tonight.

Just trying to figure out what to do for tonight.
I will make it for tonight then if you don't have anything planned. The only thing is that the vermicelli is a little spicy. The chicken can be kept separately. If anyone is up to making a salad or any other side dish, that would be good.
This meal is usually for four servings but we could possibly squeeze six out of it. I guess I assumed we were having a pot luck again and that there would be other dishes included. I should have asked you what the plans were. I might be able to bring another chicken but don't have more vermicelli and won't be on that end of town to pick more up.

Erika, Don't worry about adding more. We were thinking of getting chipolte shrimp from the Mexican restaurant. It sounds like it'll be a good combination. I'll get chips and salsa, etc.
We were thinking pot luck, it's just that Scott and I haven't been able to make up our minds what to bring.
Don't worry Kerry. I'll have Nikki keep an eye on Erika in the kitchen --- with the fire extinguisher in hand.
Did Scott ever tell you guys about the time he put a candle jar in the microwave to get the wax to melt down to the wick. He forgot the wick has a metal base. The wax melted down to the wick and the spark lit the candle inside the microwave.

I'm not sure John. We'll plan on Mexican food for tonight and not so spicey stuff for folks who don't like that.
We'll probably make Kielbasa and sauerkraut to go with Ron's stew for tomorrow night.
Erika is bring eggs for breakfast so maybe think of something for breakfast food.
