This is your picture? It's REALLY good! One can tell the layers apart to an extent but the picture has a substantial character to it that pulls through and any simplicity or minimalist editing techniques only serve to enhance it's appeal. Very nice layout. I don't know what that is... a biodome with rings? It looks like art to me though, maybe it is a futuristic example of civil engineered art:) Both a ringed plant and a city... as an intriging mental illusion. Nice color work too. I love the pale colors and the orange/green.

Where'd those buildings come from? Did you make them or get them from some other picture? The lens flare effect makes me wonder what it would look like with a couple of stars visible in the orange atmosphere. Might ruin the simplicity of it though:/

Anyway I hope you stick around in this forum and post many more pics... and maybe give me some tips;) Like where'd you get the idea for this design, and how did you develop it? Do you have any artistic background?

P.S. I'm glad your not applicable for that banner contest:)

I saw a similar pic some time ago and just added to it, the city is a skyline I found on google (not quite good enough to draw buildings yet :D ) the big sphere is a planet in the background its just trying to get the clouds in front of the image was blotting out the overall pic. The clouds are hand done with clouds filter the backdrop is a simple gradient. Will try the stars it may not take from the pic.
