Is anyone shooting larger formats of film? Some of my favorite astro photos are large format wide field film images. Please post what equipment you're using and some examples of large format film imaging.
Or post some links to examples of astrohotography on 67 film or anything other than standard 35mm.

I'm working on using large format, 4x5 with a 300mm Tessar lens. It will be some time until I get the whole thing working as I need a GEM and the *BLEEP* things cost a fortune in this country.
For Large format you will want a vacuum back, and probably a 8x10 lens so you don't get light falloff

I'm using a Pentax 6x7 with 75mm and 150mm lenses. I recently purchased a 55mm lens, too. You can see some of my photos in previous posts.

A lot of good links there. How much does a widefield lens cost for a Pentax 67? A 75mm lens would give about 45 degree FOV if my calcs are correct.

Seems like a GEM would be the easiest component to get your hands on. What about a local astronomy club? Sometimes they have club equipment that can be borrowed or scheduled for usage.

I got mine on Ebay for about $150 if I remember correctly. If you're patient you can find some really good deals - I got my 55mm for $100! The standard 105mm lens is a great performer, too.

I'm not sure how much the Israeli astro club has, or even much about them. My command of Hebrew is pretty useless and they don't really have anything up in English. To be honest cloudy nights is about my only contact with other astronomers. Oh and everything here costs twice as much. LXD-75 for me will cost about $1000 for just the tripod and mount. a guiding eyepiece here will be almost $200.
The only reason I have as much stuff as I do is because a neighbor keeps giving me photo stuff. I managed to pick up 11 4x5 film holders on Friday for nothing. (he moved to using quickloads) I just need to check them for light leaks.
On the plus side I have a really dark sky about 3 hours away.

Go to the Astro-Physics web site (http://www.astro-physics.com/). There are many images there taken on medium format film.
The "standard" method of imaging with their legendary 6" refractor (155mm EDF) was with a Pentax 6x7 onto medium format film.
There are also examples of images taken through their smaller scopes onto medium format.
