I want to learn some physics, actually I´m studying High School? Can you recommend me the best book of physics to learn?

Well, if you can suffer with a little Calculus, I recommend the 3-volume FEYNMAN LECTURES ON PHYSICS. For something a little lighter from Feynman, I like SIX EASY PIECES and the companion SIX NOT SO EASY PIECES, which cover small portions of the Feynman lectures. Clear skies to you.

Fundamentals Of Physics

I own the fifth edition. It contains lots of astronomy related examples and exercises.

This book started my interest in astronomy.

I second the Feynman books. A great physicist, and a great teacher as well.

Free one, try the Motion Mountain online one.... not that I have actually read much of it. Do raise questions that you have, there must be some other Physicists on these Forums...

You might want to look at Understanding Physics by Isaac Asimov. I learned more from one of his books (not sure if it was exaclty this one) than I did from my HS physics class. It was a good prep for my college classes.

Well, here are some links that might help,

Some threads mention high school texts: Physics Forum

Links to books and class notes: Free Science

Highly rated, but undergrad level: Physics

The "Motion Mountain" text linked in previous post is, I believe available in various languages if that's a concern.

I downloaded the text from this site. Looks like it would be useful at high school level. Calculus-Based Physics
