Each month the best images selected from the individual Cloudy Nights Imaging and Sketching forums will be presented for the userbase to vote on. The monthly winner receives the coveted Cloudy Nights t-shirt! At the conclusion of the poll, the entry with the highest total will be the winner of the contest..

Details: Object: NGC6960 Date: 06/11/2007 from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada Scope: ED80 @ f/7.5 on an EQ-6 guided Camera: Canon 300D moddified @ ISO800 Image: 20 x 6min subs, darks and flats Processing: Stacked in Image Plus, digital development, PS CS, deconvolution

PELICAN NEBULA
It was made with a 12inch/f5.3 Newtonian on a German Mount (all selfmade). Film was a Kodak Royal 200 (old emulsion) and a single 45 minute exposure. Guiding via off-axis-guider (visually).

M20 Nebula Scope: ASA N10 f:3.8 astrograph, 8x5min ISO400 Camera: Canon EOS 350D with IR block filter removed Mount: Losmady G11 Gemini. Guiding: Manually with WO 80/480 superapo, Barlow x2 and 12 mm reticled eyepiece. Cropped. No calibration applied. Processed with DSS, PixInsight and PS CS2.

NGC 7635 - The Bubble Nebula in the Hubble Narrowband Pallette Telescope/Mount: Stellarvue SV115: 115mm f7. Mountain Instruments MI-250 mount. CCD: SBIG ST2000XM with Astrodon SII, Ha and OIII filters. Image Details and Processing: 27-1/2 total hours. 9-1/2 hours Ha and OII, 8-1/2 hours SII in 30 minute. Captured with CCDSoft and automated with CCD Commander. Processed with CCDStack and Photoshop. Date and Location: Denver, CO. July 6 - August 1, 2007 Larger image can be seen here.

Sketching Forum's Finalist - WadeVC:

This is a digital reproduction of my pencil & paper sketch of M34, an open cluster found in Perseus. My original sketch is scanned into PhotoShop, and then I use the scanned original as a template in addition to my well documented notes of the object to arrive at the above digital final as shown above.
Using PhotoShop I am able to add subtle colors and add depth in a way I can not replicate on paper alone.

I so wanted to vote for LookAtRigel's fantastic picture, but philg's was just a fraction better. Once again, an awesome set of pictures in all categories.
