Hello:
Here's my contribution.

Marco Ciocca, Richmond, KY
9/19/04 3:30 UTC;
M57, the Ring Nebula;
Image obtained with a SBIG ST237A CCD camera (no color, as I don't have the filter wheel).
Scope is a 6"F/5 Newtonian from Orion
Exposures - 55 frames, each for 11 seconds. The software (CCDops from Sbig) tracks and aligns successive shots to a chosen reference star, while subtracting dark frames automatically.
Mount - LXD55, unguided

Processing - The file is converted from SBIG native format to FIT format. The file is then sharpened, enlarged (20%) and the hystogram stretched in Registax.

Note: I reprocessed the image . It looks a little better now
