need advice for guidescope for 115mm f7 refractor
      #2035687 - 12/07/07 05:24 PM

Hi again,

I am in the market for a guidescope to mount on my 115mm William Optics clone refractor which uses the WO mounting rings (see www.williamoptics.com)I hope to put a sbig or neximager on the guidescope for long guided exposures. Just now, I came across this in the Shop and Swap

guidescope link

Would this be a good start to stable guiding? Can someone suggest an alternative, if not?

thx,

Paul

Something like an 80mm f/11 refractor would work better...
To make finding a guide-star easier I purchased a 100mm f/10 celestron achromat to guide with.

Hi Stars,

Thanks and I will look into that. I have an 80mm Celestron refractor (achromat), but I dont know the F ratio.
