Something I thought I would try while Broadcasting last night on NSN.
Here is a 'Live' Screen Grab of the 'South Celestial Pole'.
I moved the scope to the exact SCP and while the camera did a 56 second integration I kept my finger on the R.A. move button to show the stars spinning around the pole.

So, now you can say you have seen the South Celestial Pole

Attached is an image of NGC7331 taken with my ATIK 314e color camera on a C14 at f4???? using the MFR5 focal reducer. 4 minutes guided. I have set up a computer macro in the computer to do basic auto curves stretching in adobe photoshop when the image is downloaded from the camera. On my 22 inch lcd monitor in the field, it looks great!

Thanks Maurice.

Yes anything over 10 seconds is more or less CCD imaging isn't it.
Sort of kills the 'LIVE video' idea

Maybe once it gets over about 10 seconds we call it 'Instant Gratification' Imaging

I was happy to receive my Mallincam xtreme on the 19th of October and was lucky to try it out last night the 20th of October. I used my 6 inch F-5 newt. at prime focus and being a total newb I was impressed beyond belief with it's performance. Here are some examples .

All:

Had another good night of broadcasting on NSN. A moonless night, but poor transparency did negatively affect the images measurably. Nonetheless, I'm very pleased with these single integrations. Thanks to Mitch, Jim and Pete for capturing the images. And thanks to Chris A. for helping me tease out every possible detail on NGC 7635 (attached is a 3 minute integration). All images taken with Mallincam Xtreme,CCD Mode, Astronomik UHC and IR Cut Filters, Meade 14" ACF OTA, AP1200 Mount.

IC 5136 (Cocoon Nebula), same set-up, 3 minute integration.

P.S. In an effort to be 100% transparent (ha ha), Mitch informed me this was a stack of 8 separate images. I did not know that until after I posted it. That said, I only did 4 separate integrations on this object (I was about to freeze and packed up shortly after), so I think he stacked the same image a couple times each...
