Very impressive Ken - deepsky *visual* observers usually give up/ stay indoors with a gibbous moon and/or haze about but brief exposures and fast optics are no bar to us - us includes me not using a video cam thus

Here are some images from last night’s public observing session at Great Meadow, VA. I used the ATIK 314e at f11, 1/20th second exposure in loop mode on the C14 (seeing 4/5 transparency 4/5). The video of the moon on the 22 inch LCD as I slowly slewed the telescope across the moon was like looking thru the window of Apollo 8 as it orbited the moon. I also have a couple of images of Jupiter during the end of a shadow transit of IO.

All of the images are unprocessed, just as they were viewed on the LCD screen when automatically downloaded and displayed in the ATIK software. For fun take one of the moon images and apply the auto curves function in Adobe Photoshop and see what you get.

Lyle, nice work mate! Your Moon detail is superb I tried your suggestion of Auto Curves in PS. WOW! Fantastic detail in B&W image
Chad, your bubble shows up nicely considering the amount of Moon shine that would have been in your sky at the time. Nice work!

Wonderful image! Seems as though it was quite fast moving in the frames of most images I've seen.

Hi all, just wanted to add a few links to my astrovideography captures. I use a Samsung SBC-2000 attached to my Orion Truss 12XTg and I use SharpCap to capture AVIs and snapshots. I find that this software works very well for me. The links are snapshots that are unprocessed and not stacked AVI files. Keep in mind this was a windy night and it took about 15 - 30 snapshots to get one clear enough to consider good enough to post.
This one is a photo of the computer screen of the Io transit we watched. http://www.flickr.com/photos/96288941@N00/6341447640/
This is my set up. Very light polluted but I manage to capture some pretty decent objects. http://www.flickr.com/photos/96288941@N00/6341446428/
This is a snapshot of Io at the right edge with lagging shadow. http://www.flickr.com/photos/96288941@N00/6341177608/

NGC 7331 some star trails, wind pushing scope. Hopefully I'll get a still night and can integrate enough to see it better. http://www.flickr.com/photos/96288941@N00/6341177288/in/photostream/

They are great John
Lots of light pollution in that shot of your gear
As well as supplying the links, you can aso post your images in this thread as long as they aren't post-processed

Here is the Sculptor Galaxy from last night from my very light polluted driveway. This is a single snapshot and not a process stacked AVI file. As all astrovideographers know, the capture NEVER looks as good as the real time image on our monitors. I wish I could really share just how well this actually looked, seeing it for the first time last night. My wife and grandson were in awe and we must have collected about 4 Gb of data on this one object. I simply cannot wait until I can get my gear out in darker skies. http://www.flickr.com/photos/96288941@N00/6356971749/in/photostream/
As soon I figure out how to get my images directly into the posts, I'll add them directly.
