Thanks, I'm pleased with the overall image scale and brightness using a focul reducer, but the vixen one I have really distorts the edges.

Jon, I have a PAL Mallincam so maybe it's a PAL vs NTSC difference. I connect the Mallincam via S-Video to a TheImagingSource video converter box which outputs 768x576 uncompressed video via firewire to the ICCapture software that comes with the converter. My images above are individual frames from the captured video.

Not much to add except that I use a belkin f5u228 http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=137940 and virtualdub - a killer combination!
Here is a webcam still from last night ...

Yes it is. I too back-peddled to XP for my astro machine, but nowadays, 'most' things are compatible.

M27 - 14" LX200R + IDAS LPS + Optec 0.33x FR + MCHP
This isn't an easy object for me as it's low to the northern horizon, looking over a neighbour's roof and into the light pollution of a city of 2 million just north of me.
The IDAS LPS filter really helped with this one.

Well here is an old freind taken last night at 5am. It had just cleared the trees just before sunrise, so it was very low, and can only get better from here on out. It was taken with a MCHP, through a 12" newt, on a CGE.
Thanks Jon, Jim, and David for staying up with me and helping me out!

That's a really nice shot of Jupiter. Is that a single unprocessed image or did you stack etc?
What focal length were you at?
