NGC 2237-9
      #2058666 - 12/18/07 08:19 AM

Hi alls,

last weekend not only M1 was my target, NGC 2237-9 also.

But I´m not very satisfied with this shot. After 30 minutes a big fir was bringing the exposure to an end...

To get some more light I use luminance from an old shot with a smaller instrument (8"/f6 Newtonian) but the same emulsion (Kodak Royal 200).

Let´s have a look:

Instrument was a 12"/f5.3 Newtonian, 30 minute exposure.

Comments are welcome!

I'm amazed again at this film. Now I'm really considing this film over my Fuji Provia F slide.

I don't see why you are not satisfied with this shot, it looks pretty good to me.

Hello at all,

thank you for your comments!

Hambone: The reason why I´m not very satisfied is that I had to enhance colors and brightness relatively strong. This makes the picture a little bit noisy. So I smoothened it to reduce grain. But as a result, sharpness is reduced too.

Two longer exposures would do a better job. Next time!
