There are a few sellers on ebay that have binos on sale. does anyone ever bought bino from ebay ? which of them

I bought a pair from a guy in Jersey . very cheap, the make was eyetec.com.
Basically I learnt that if you buy cheap you get cheap quality

On any given day there are thousands of binoculars on sale on ebay and hundreds of sellers listing them. There are also new and used binoculars on sale. I don't think you can draw any general conclusion about the merits of buying optics on ebay based on a few reports you get here.
I have seen regular listings of Pentax's top of the line roof prism DCF SP series(new) on ebay. They can be had for $50-70 lower than regular mail order discount price. These are listed by authorized Pentax dealers and come with a full warranty. I would feel comfortable buying those if the seller rating shows 99.5% positive with hundreds of transactions.
I have also seen used Leicas and Zeiss sold on ebay for $500 or more and the buyers are very happy. I purchased a 8X25 Celestron and a 7X30 monocular on ebay during the past year. Both were discontiued model but I wanted them because they have Extra Wide FOV of 8.5 and 10 deg. Both were in excellent condition. Each ebay transaction is different. Do pay attention to the rating and ask questions if you are not sure.
These days one can order good quality 15X70 binos new from Burgess optical for $99. I see little reason to try to get a 70mm no name bino of questionable quality on ebay and save a few dollars. Many low cost bino have similar appearance but inferior coating/optics which is difficult to tell from a photo. I've had enough experience with bargain priced Tasco-grade optics to know I DON'T want them.

I bought Pentax 10x24 (£32)and 12x24 (£22) ucf binoculars from ebay. I was very happy with the performance of both binoculars  . They are brilliant for daytime viewing with their clear optics. Note they are no good for night time use as objectives to small.

I'd use the same caution buying binos on ebay that I would anything else.
I bought my new minolta 8x40s on ebay for about half retail.
Look for good brands and good sellers.

I guess I cannot take any general conclusion. My question was more in a sense of a well know seller for is quality produts.
There are guys selling 20X80 binos for example. How bad are this binos
( Although good or bad sellers can sell good and bad produtcs  )

It would be most helpful if you can provide a link to the specific 20X80 binos you are referring to. There are good quality 20X80 binos selling for under US$200 new(the Burgess/Oberwerk 20X80 LW, for example). But there could be look-alikes coming out of the same factory in China with poor coating ,NO QC selling for half that price as "close-outs".
Binoculars are complex optical equipment. It's nearly impossible to tell if there are faults in a pair of binocular till AFTER you had a chance to check out a pair. I'd recommend NOT buying a pair on ebay unless the return policy is clearly spelled out. There are so many quality binoculars available for very reasonable prices these days, why take a chance?
I'd feel much more confident buying a pair if USED bino from a knowlegeable, regular member of this forum than I would buying a pair of "new" bino from a unknown reseller on ebay.

The first item number you provided is a listing by a reseller in New York City. Looks like this one sells everthing and anything. The 20X80 bino appears to be assembled from a kludge of parts from different Chinese suppliers. 9 negative & 4 neutral ratings in the past month!.... I'd walk(no RUN) away from this deal.
The secnod item is listed by a German reseller who specializes in optical equipment and has 100% positive rating. I have no way of telling the quality of the optics. I'd email and find out the shipping charge and return policy before bidding.

PS. If you are ordering from a international supplier anyway consider Oberwerks in the USA. www.bigbinoculars.com. They have excellent reputation among US astronomers. Cost of the 20X80 Standard model is less than 190 Euro. You can request the owner(Kevin B) to check out your pair personally before shipping.

I would avoid buying anything from Ebay. I suppose for certain items, with enough confidence supported by good ratings, you can safely make a purchase. Certain areas of Ebay are being over ran by scam artists, frauds and the like. Couple of friends of mine and including myself have been ripped off by dealing with people who use Ebay. So I absolutely DO NOT recommend it.
You might have better luck and confidence at Astro Mart.

I'm asking all this questions to you guys because I would also like to understand who thinks work. I mean...
This binos, apparently with no brand, are good enough products ? Are made by who and where ? Are the made in the same factory of some well know manufacturer and under license and soled by others ?
And even if they lack the quality of some more expensive binoculars, are they a good value for the money ?

It's like everything else, buyer beware. I have sold quite a few items and bought some on ebay with no problems but I am careful. The best buy I got was a brand new pair of Nikon 12x50 SE for $466. They came from a camera store who was apparently trying to get them out of stock and I got lucky. They came with the USA warranty and were in perfect condition. The best price I have seen these offered for used has been over $500.
I try and pay attention to the sellers ratings and read all the details of the add several times to make sure I fully understand all the terms and conditions.

I personally haven't had a problem yet on Ebay, and have been trading on there for over a year, with 235 100% feedback. I haven't had to leave a negative yet (but looks like I will shortly with one 'buyer'!  )
Read the binocular descriptions carefully. Some cheap looking ones have very tempting and well-written descriptions, but are basically tat. Avoid the ones with 'ruby coated' lenses.
