The Miyauchi Saturn III has an optional 150x EP. Kevin at BigBinoculars.com collimates all Saturn III's for the max 150x EP before every sale. The long FL the Saturn III's apparently work very well indeed at 150x.

Holy Smokes!
Who bumped this aged old thread up from the depths of obscurity?
Well, needless to say, I never bought that Oberwerk BT.
And what happened to NightWatch? I don't recall seeing him for a while now?

Mike,This explains NW.
I removed the link it was too big. Any way NightWatch just moved and has to commute 2 1/2 hours a day, so he doesn't have as much free time.

Well since this thread got resurrected from 2 1/2 years ago all of a sudden, I will add a comment here (having the S3's and the 150x EP's).
I would be a bit hesitant to say they work "very well" -- the conditional alignment is super-critical at that magnification (I had to send my S3's back to be realigned before I could even use these EP's). And we're still dealing with an F7 Achromat, so there's quite a lot of CA and image softness. However, they do indeed work and can reveal details not visible at the next lowest magnification of 54x (unfortunately, there are no EP's currently available between 54s and 150x, and I do use them for lunar and planetary observing when I'm out for a "binocular-observing" session, although a good quality 80mm APO will outperform them at this magnification.

CESD--
Would the Discmount, or some other mount for this Saturn III, provide for both a nightime GOTO capability AND daytime terrestrial manual slow motion slewing? Any suggestions--or are we talking two separate mounts here?
Thanks, -Preston
