Hi all,
Here's a link to my slr camera lol it is a little old but looks perfect for astrophotography:)what do you think?

HELIOS-44-2 2/58 is what i have. I hope to use this camera tonight if possiable i will try widefield shot's first so i can get used to the camera. Never had a Slr camera before so wish me luck

As long as it has a manual shutter (no need for batteries), a bulb (B) setting, and a cable release, you should be fine. Mirror lockup is also useful, but you can often use the self-timer instead (typically, this will lift the mirror 10 seconds before the shutter is opened).
For astrophotography, the camera doesn't really matter. Your telescope/mount and technique is everything. Good luck!
