My First "M-42" Stack.
      #2087970 - 01/01/08 04:38 PM Attachment (43 downloads)

Well, everyone seem's to post there first stack of images, reguardless of how they look, so here is my humble addition.

M-42 and Running Man
--------------------------
Canon 40-D (un-modded)
IDAS-LPS filter
Orion 80-ED (Thanks Bobby)
SVP mount

9 pics of 60 seconds each at ISO 1600
Stacked in DSS (first time) and some
processing done in PSE-6
All 9 Shot's were auto triggered by the Canon TC 80-N3.
All were un-guided.

Any help to do better would be much appreciated.
I have a lot to learn.

Really nice! I'd suggest taking more subs and also take some with shorter exposure so the core doesn't blow out. Then layer the core over the longer exposures.

Thanks guy's.
The background "cloudy" effect is something I did not plan on.
It came out when I was trying to tease detail out of the running man.
I did not apply any darks or flats (havent mastered that yet) but hopefully I can start trying soon.

Next time out I will try to do more subs and give stacking another try.
I got a lot of reading to do.

Thanks again.
