Refractor is Done!!!

Well mostly...

I got the objective to fit nicely in the tube. The fcouser is the same diameter as the tube. I'll figure out a better way to hold it on other than the electrical tape in the picture.The ota will be spray painted glossy black and the inside of the ota will be painted flat black.Overall I'm really excitied to get my first scope complete!!!

All of my eyepieces come to focuser easily. Hopefully a first real light will be tonight.

Thanks Jim.

The focuser is now attached without tape. I had to do alot of sanding of the tube and the focuser, but it fits nicely now. Tomorrow I will flock the tube.

Looks nice - what's the story behind this? If there was a thread on starting trhe refractor, I missed it. You could just give me the title and I'll search it.

I started painting the tube chrome. I also painted the inside of the tube flat black
