Hi group,
I recently purchased a pair of Zeiss 15X60 Nobilem binoculars. They don't have the standard center threads for attaching a tripod adapter. I understand that Zeiss made an adapter that clamped to the center hing-pin, but it is not made anymore. Can anyone give me a suggestion on how to mount them?
Thanks for your help.

would the Nikon Binocular adapter work?
I'll dig up a link.

The top knob unscrews and the binocular center shaft rests in a U shaped notch. The top knob also has an up-side-down U and when screwed on it is very secure. I use mine for my Nikon SEs and for some other branded older 7x50s.

Another option, though perhaps somewhat of a long shot, is to find out if the tripod adapter of the current line of Nobilem binoculars manufactured by Docter Optics would fit. I honestly have no idea whether there are any remaining design similarities though.

Thanks for your help guys. Looks like the Bogen/Manfrotto would work. Not sure if the Nikon or Docter would. Here is a pic, so you can see what might work. No first light yet, we have received about 24" of snow since they arrived on Monday.

The Nikon adapter won't work with that.

Nikon has "soft" and "hard" adapters for their roof prism bins that might work,

www.BearBasin.com has tripod adapters for Zeiss, go to their site and see what they can come up with.
