*SIGH* Looking at all these great sketches posted recently, I don't know if I am ready to cry or if I'm just plain jealous! (not really jealous...but ready to cry).
The last night that the skies have been clear enough for me to do any observing was way back on Dec. 12...every night since then there has either been cloud cover, rain, fog or just excessive dew conditions. Either way, me and the ol scope haven't seen a single star or anything else since Dec. 12.
...keep the sketches coming; it's nice to see at least someone is doing some observing.

I know how you feel. I have not been able to observe since november (except for a night that I got to see 3 things really quickly). I can't wait till clear skys!

Wade --
I had a similar spell of bad luck from Dec 14 till Jan 4. But I got one sketch done on the 4th before the clouds returned, and another two done on the 5th.
(The first one got posted here as I tried out a few new techniques on NGC1160/61. The other two are posted in the Deep Sky Observing section under "A few Planetaries (some sketched)").
Cheers, -- Jeff.

Wade,
We also cry when you are not able to post your excellent observations. The best of luck with your weather.

I know how you feel, Wade. The weather in Holland is also very bad the last couple of months. It was clear maybe two or tree days a month and the seeing was pretty bad at those days. I hope 2008 will bring us all much more clear nights!

I'm with ya Wade! I'll bring the tissues.
My log/diary/notebook shows my last observing session on Dec.6. and my last sketching session as Nov. 11 !!!
Good to see you back though. I hope you are feeling better.
addendum: Just glanced at my CSC, clear with average transparency and exceptional seeing tonight for a few hours!! Tonight might be the night!!
