Messier 45
      #2101310 - 01/06/08 04:39 PM Attachment (55 downloads)

This past Thursday night CN member Phil Hoyle and i made it down to a dark sky site in Calhoun county WV to do some imaging.
My targets for the night were the Horsehead Nebula, Comet
Holmes and M45, with the temp a balmy 2° i managed 45 minutes on Holmes, 3+ hrs on the Horsehead and almost 1 1/2 hrs on M45, i believe this is my 3rd time ever imaging M45.

Wow, five hours of imaging and the results show it! Fantastic. I love the contrast and especially the subtle colours in the nebula. That's as much detail as I've ever seen in M45.

Excellent M45 shot. You captured a lot of nebulosity in just 84 minutes.

Dave,

Words just get in the way. Absolutely fabulous. You should send that straight to S&T and see what happens.

Phil
