Comet Holmes 01/08/2008
      #2102908 - 01/07/08 11:15 AM Attachment (51 downloads)

I can still see it naked eye from my location. Dim, but
definitely there. This shot was taken with a Vixen 115ED
at F/5.2 with a Canon 350D at ISO1600. 10x2min exposures
stacked. This is a full frame image, so the comet is now
well over one degree in size. Since there have been no
new outbursts with it, the increase in size has greatly
lowered the surface brightness. It is still not a bad
sight in binoculars.

Thanks, Tom Davis
