Hi all, I've noticed quite a few folks are using broadband filters to shoot in moderately polluted areas. My question is which filter and what size should I be looking for. I use an 8" sct with an f6.3 f/r, an ED80 for widefield (no reducer) and an XT to capture the light. I see filter sizes in the 1.25 and 2" range and am not sure where it would be applied/threaded in the optic train. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Using telescope OTA as lens for prime focus DSLR imaging, 2" filter is appropriete. You have to check your specific gears to find a 2" female thread for the filter to fit.
