Proms a poppin on the eastern limb new
      #2147395 - 01/26/08 04:00 PM Attachment (50 downloads)

Well, we finally caught a break from last week's rain this morning and I took the PST out with my 8mm Hyperion. Great action going on along the eastern and southeastern limbs today at about 1200-1300 PST (2000-2100 UTC). Here is my sketch for the session. The prom to the SE looked like a horse or giraffe with a mound of fodder in front of it.

Clear skies.

Very nice sketches you posted.

I saw pretty much the same thing earlier in the morning but the clouds rolled in. Only had a few breaks today but still the seeing was really bad.

Steve,

Great report and sketches. Clear there--cloudy here--I guess things have balanced out. It appears from your sketch that the SE prom has grown since yesterday while the two towers to the NE have diminished somewhat.

Stephen/Scott/Michael,

Thanks for the comments. This was my first viewing on the "Two Towers" so can't comment on any changes. But the SE prom was definitely more solid and brighter.

Clear skies.

Very nice sketches Steve. Tired of cloudy weekends in my neck of the woods.

Doug, you and me both. We had about six hours yesterday morning and now a few sucker holes today but otherwise it's been "liquid sunshine" for the last week...

But hey, looking at your CSC at least you get a nice sunny ride into work tomorrow!
