Anyone familiar with this scope new

I found this today, Sirius Solar-4 Scope . I hadn't come across this scope before and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with them. The price seems pretty decent considering the aperture.

I'm no expert (just starting out really), but that scope looks like a normal refractor with a white light filter in it.
This is not the same as Hydrogen-Alpha

Hello Ken,
I agree with Ralph that Baader film on any refractor could be a relatively inexpensive solution, but this DEDICATED solar scope should be much safer when using with children. (The first thing almost anyone notices about Baader film is that it has some wrinkles; it almost calls out to be touched. Also, the film on a cover could fall off the end of the refractor ... the Baader paper could get a hole in it ...)

well then get a glass filter and duct tape it onto the front of the scope this way groping little fingers cannot remove it.That 400 "Solar scope" probably has 25 dollar optics and a 5 cent focuser..

Probably not that cheap but this scope is perhaps pretending to be special when it isn't

You can achieve the same result, practically speaking, by the simple addition of a white light filter to you own scope. I looked at the pic but didn't pay attention to the focal length. What the white light filter does is give you views of the activity on the disk, but only in the form of sun spots. You don't see any granulation. Better off putting your own filter on the scope of your choice. And I avoid the likelihood of my solar filter of ever falling off by having the rim made from thick plywood which has three short screws placed around the outside, which in turn is attached to the tube by three appropriately spaced screws. Someone would have to make a very deliberate effort to remove it. I think you can do quite a bit better for the price. Keith
