Well, you'll soon have your own personal viewing room on the heavens! It's a nice feeling.

Get a cozy observing chair, play some good music, and enjoy!

Lookin' good so far, Karen! I'm guessing the earthquake 45 or so miles SE of San Antonio yesterday didn't affect you any since you didn't mention it?

Got humid did it? Good thing they're getting this one done before heat season.
I recall one mid July in San Antonio with both temps and humidity in the upper 90s. The lady at the B&B we stayed in said it was unusual for the humidity to be that bad.
I assume it should normally be hot but pretty dry.

Can't wait to hear about first light night.

Well it's finished and here's a few more pix. Two of the nicest, sweaty guys just headed back to their motel to collapse. The obs is fantastic. Weather HOT and HUMID and here's a shot of the boys baking their brains in the sun doing the roof.

The reason Scotts back aches and my telescope won't vibrate. This footer is MASSIVE. It's dead on level and right on the money for polar alignment.

THEY like it and they're the ones drinking it. I would have bought them champagne if they wanted it! They flew through this. I guess with this being BYO #105 they are starting to get the hang of it.

I know Karen! They told me "Bud" when I asked what Beer they liked/wanted... and I believed em!

When you're workin that hard, ANY beer is good beer!

KNow what you mean about offering Champagne also! They are amazing - especially how theres no written plans, just experience - lots and LOTS of experience...

It'd a taken me months, and it wouldn't have been 10% as good...

Nice "chimney" in your garage, by the way

loving the pictures
