021708 - 1st light from Holland from Stephen Ames!
      #2197501 - 02/17/08 07:11 AM Attachment (62 downloads)

We woke up at 7am, after a very long night, got ourselves ready to head to Zwolle and see Emiel and Patricia...

Hit a coffeeshop on the way(to W&B) jumped on the train and headed east...We struggled thru the system switching more trains than we should have and somehow made it...Emiel was waiting for us at the station and after walking past each other, he decided to see if we were us and we were!(good thing huh)...We walked from the station and on the way Patricia was just pulling in with her Pug Fernando...

There wasn't a lot to see but we did manage to do this image, I was very impressed with his skills and you can see from the image, he's a great teacher!...

Time to sit back, party and enjoy this beautiful Holland day!...

Emiel was the perfect host...We got a good history lesson on Zwolle, from his friend Willie, and we saw some very historic buildings...The town, and country for that matter, are just beautiful...Patricia is also sooo sweet, I'm so glad she made it, next time we go to Belgium!...

Oh, her pug Fernando is beyond adorable!...All in all a very long great day, thank you Emiel for showing me the "light" and how easy it can be to make some great images, thank you too Patricia for your offer to help as well!...We haven't stopped smiling yet!...

Stephen,
The NSO/Hodgenville is now an ISO (international solar observatory)at ISO/ZWOLLE? (why not; you and Emeil are more reliable than any other observatory )

Drink enough of espresso and you become your own adaptive optics system! You just have to get your jitters in phase with the wind...
