Ever since I held in my hands a Telementor I a couple of days ago, I have been wanting more Zeisses in my house!
Really, I have not even looked through the Telementor, as it went back to the seller, but I was struck by the ruggedness and simplicity! It felt like it was a scope that was made to stand the test of time.
My FSQ106ED does not feel that way. I'm almost weary of messing up something on it, every time I pick it up!
In a few words:
I want an APQ 100/640!!
do I need counseling?

Hi Emanuele, If you do get a APQ 100/640 be sure to check if it is one where you don't need a prism to achieve the color correction. As I recall there were two model one you could use without the prism and one you needed a prism.
You might want to contact APM Telescopes. Markus Ludes is very resourceful when it comes to old Zeiss equipment and I've seen some APQs pop up for sale there. But it isn't going to be cheap!

It is nice to have a Zeiss,
but twice is the price, because there are collectors.
Zeiss stopped the produktion of amateur telescopes 1996.
Enjoy the telementor

Good Morning Emanuele,
If you are still looking for a Zeiss APQ 100/640 I have one original 1995 for sale in perfect conditions. The scope come with the IB Mount, wodden tripod Zeiss, original Zeiss 7X42 finder and its original wodden case (paid in 1995 € 723!!!). The scope has been used only 10 times and it is superb. Cannot find one similar even if you go into Mr. Baader collection. Please let me know if you're still interested. I'm the first owner and documents of purchase are available (because this was a Company gift). Scope is in Rome Italy.
Regards Giampiero
