March Sketching Target: M67

For the month of March the sketching forum target will be M67 . This is an open cluster in the constellation of Cancer. Here is another link with more information on this cluster.

It isn't March quite yet but as I saw this post last night, I decided to give it a shot just to see if I still got "it" in any way.

Drawing details: Paper and (HB)pen. Magnifications used 60x & 160x

Obs. place: Rajakylä, Vantaa, Finland
Date: 27./28.2.2008
Bortle class: Class 5 (Suburban sky)
NE Lim.mag: ~5.2m (E)
Background sky: 3-4
Seeing: 3
Transparency: 3-4
Sky conditions: Moist
Weather: Scattered cloud...

Minimum aperture: NE
Visual impressiveness: Excelente (1)

Description: SW from a 8th magnitude star. Splash of 50 * mags 10-13. Size 15'. Some signs of the old Octopus-shape.
