Giant big red spot behind Kitt Peak, new
      #2226528 - 02/29/08 02:10 AM

A view of the Kitt Peak observatory from MMTelescope during the sunset..

if you see the clouds carefully, it almost look like Jupiter behind the scopes . look at this contrasted version:

looks like the observatory located on one of the very close orbit moons of Jupiter.

some other pix-

tucson

thanks for viewing,
Tuugii

"Let it glow, let it glow, let it glow"

Yuk!

Interesting interpretation of the cloud structure; I see exactly what you mean. Well spotted.

That last one looks like Tucson from about halfway up the road to Mount Lemmon... is that right?

My old high school is down there on the edge of the mountains before you get to all the lights (Sabino).

I'll take that LP over our snow/ice any day!
clear enough skies

thanks a lot guys!

Dave, on that picture I am standing like 100m below MMT telescope on the mount Hopkins. The view of Tucson, is fairly from south of southeast.

But I've been on Mt.Lemmon, the LBT scope. I guess Mt.Lemmon has a little more trees around, otherwise it looks really similar.

spacibo michael, ti otkuda? iz rosii?
